I use a lot of lavender in my craft. I use it in love spells, healing spells and anytime peace, harmony and tranquility is needed.  Aside from the fact it has been overharvested, I don't particularly like the smell of burning sage so I use lavender in combination with other herbs, to cleanse and remove negativity instead. It even smells good as it is burning! I use lavender for infused oil for my balms and salves. It has a great scent that calms and relaxes and for this reason I use it a lot for aromatherapy especially for  headache caused by stress. It can be used in so many different way and is a staple item in my apothecary. It comes in a 2"x3" clear plastic bag that i fill as full as possible.
